Change taste good!

Assalamualaikum....

Yes! Change does taste good. Why?
This is the latest update about my rugby team. We've change the name and also the logo. Here it is... Tada......

How bout that? Look more commercial is it? Heheh.... I designed this one. The team's name is also change. Before this we'd decide to have "Wild Horse" but after a few days of thinking, it is just sound so weird. Then i decided to change it to "Stallion". Now, we're Kuhara Stallion everybody......

On, 25 January 2008, Last Monday, the Kuhara Stallion got its first friendly match with SM Teknik, Tawau (SMT). That school was having a very good training for past few months by 5 Fijian ruggers. So, the students are more fit and skill. We took all the rumour as a challenge and asked for a frinedly match.

During the first half, the SMT team put their junior team (Form 4 students) to face the Stallion. We manage to get the 22 line but, no try was done. It could be said a one sided game when we have most of the possession during the first half. But still, my team just can't get through the SMT line and it ended with 0-0 in the first half.

When the second half whistle blew, we put the same team member up to the field while the SMT put up their Senior team (Form 5) students which most of them were the students that gone through the training with the Fijian coach and also, most of their players are made of steely muscle. While my players were trying to get their breath, SMT was already on the attack. 2 minutes after the blow, 1 try was conceided. Until the end of the match, my team was trying hard to defence their side and push it to the SMT side of field. Just unlucky, the SMT senior team was so good for the Stallion boys but they manage to defence their side after the first try and no try was concieded after that.

They Stallion boys learnt their lesson. There is still a lot of things to be done. They knew now that they have to really listen to me during training. I got them straight at their face and not stumble any mistakes, making all my comments perfectly to the target. Name by name.

On Tuesday, we begin the training on different level. I became more strict and cunningly cruel. Guess what? The boys can addapt to it and it seems like they are getting new spirit. Furthermore, on the same day, the PTA president, turn up and saw us trained. He get me and asked me the progress of the team. I said we need to do a lot still. What shocked me is that he also loves the game and being really supportive. He talked to the boys after the training and promised tha the will support the team.

First, he said that he will try to get the team new training t-shirt which already in my plan. I showed him my design and he agreed. One down! Then he said about the team jersey. I said we already proposed to have the new jersey to the management but still no answer. He asked me to put up a proposal and he will approve it. Two down! Again he asked. What about the scrum machine? I just couldn't believe it. Scrum machine? That was new. Not in my plan. Then he said, make another proposal for the scrum machine and he'll see about it. I was just couldn't agree more and say "yes, sir."

Therefore, there are so much of changes and I believe that all this come from the effort the team had shown so far. We must progress and the boys also work really hard with high spirit. Training shirt, new jersey and a scrum machine is on the way boys! Let's do this!

Today,we have gathered the junior boys who are interested in rugby and asked them to come for a introduction to the game. About 70 students turn up and that was a big number which is more then I expected. This is also a good news for the team morale. We got the handling drill and I asked the seniors to guide their junior. They love it.

Tomorrow, we'll have another friendly match. This time it will be differ because the Stallion will be facing the Kuhara Old Boys Team (X-Kuhara Rugby Team). It's just a defferent level for the Stallion Boys. But, we're ready! This weak training showed so much improvement in the team's performance. I'm quite sure tomorrow will a tough game and both team will have to struggle to score. Wish us the best and I'll let you know the result soon. Thanks!
