Assalamualaikum...
Despite busy with my life as a teacher (you know... lesson plan, meeting, class, students' attendance chart, ect.) i'm putting myself into one more thing that i like the most about being a teacher... co-curriculum. Hence, i joined a sea scout's (pengakap laut) camping last two weeks eventhought i was assigned to be the fire brigade cadet's (kadet bomba) teacher supervisor. It was great since it's been ages i didn't attend a camping. Seem so long after a programme in Gombak.
I had a great time at the camping. Joined the 'Rovers A' scout from Tawau to prepare the tracking, taught the students to sing the 'Lai Chi Kang' song, set-up the night walk trail with the comittee and the most unforgetful was the feeling of not sleeping for two days which i've left this activity almost 6 years ago. All of these just makes me felt younger (Whoa!). I've tried my best not to intercept the comittee members arrangements for the camping activities but i can't denied it that i really like to be a leader and to run the whole camping. For the camping committee, I'm very sorry.
The School Rugby Team's Logo
That was 2 weeks ago. This week, I've been busy with a responsible i've never dreamed of that is to coach the school's rugby team. In the other hand, I think that this was a great chance for me to get involved with this sports. What scares me is that, the team was the runner-up for last year tournament. Trying my best to be a coach, and preparing the team with a very high level of fitness and skills which a essential requirements for rugby players. All training sessions this week was focused on the fitness aspect of the players and some basic skills that the player need to know. Me and few alumnis of the team still searching for the best 20 players to be brought to the tournaments. I was just lucky that some of the alumnis are really helpful and handy. Thanks to azree, allen and some more alumnis.
For next week, my agenda and focus will also into the rugby team and my class management(which I don't want to talk about it now). I think i'll try to put up a new approach into the school's rugby team to coach them and bring them to glorious victory. Fitness and teamwork will be my main focus for next week and hopefully we can have a friendly match by next weekend. That friendly match will be the milestone of me and the team effort of training.
For all the readers that might have experience(s) in rugby, I need your support, ideas and knowledge about rugby. I'm still collecting data on coaching rugby and materials that i can used (which can be found easily) to train the team. Wish me luck next week and i'll report the progress of the team via this blog. See ya!
